score4more assesses the sustainability performance of organisations based on the information provided in their Code declarations of conformity. The core is a 5-Stage-Model, which classifies company information into five levels of sustainability excellence. The levels of excellence are defined individually for each Code criterion and indicator.

The Sustainability Code - a sound basis

Every time more companies in Germany and Europe use The Sustainability Code and publish a declaration of conformity. Under the EU requirement for non-financial reporting, a highly valuable dataset of sustainability performance and business best practices is generated and continuously growing.

Scoring method

score4more 5-Level-System

Our assessment is based on 20 criteria as well as 16 EFFAS and 28 GRI SRS performance indicators. All scoring levels are individually defined for each criteria and indicator, ranging from inactive to full sustainability performance, e.g. 100% climate neutrality or 100% human rights ensured due diligence in supply chains.

Our scoring method is officially recognized by The Sustainability Code. It was developed on the basis of our long-standing experience with company assessments for the German Sustainability Award and the analysis method “N-Kompass” for sustainability strategy.

The scoring method was reviewed and adjusted in cooperation with universities and companies. The scoring is based on an 80 pages long method manual with a detailed level description for each criterion, indicator and level.
